Dawn Morris, Head of Operations and Finance
After finishing a conversation with Dawn Morris, you will undoubtedly feel inspired and keen to achieve more. Despite her humility, our Head of Operations and Finance has reached many remarkable milestones in her 27-year career – and it looks like she’s just getting started.
“My personal motto is to give each day the opportunity to be the best day that it can,” explained Dawn. It’s a motto that has undoubtedly fuelled her ambition to make a positive difference. She is a true believer in growth – encouraging it from herself, from others and for Zeus Tech Solutions.
“I really appreciate the culture at Zeus: it’s agile, forward-thinking and innovative,” she shared. “When I joined 12 months ago, I realised that I could contribute ideas and make an impact. We work together. We listen to what every individual has to say. You can truly be yourself and you’re valued.”
It’s this enterprising mindset that resulted in her quickly being promoted from Financial Controller to her current role in less than a year. Day-to-day, she spearheads operational management here at Zeus, ensuring that our processes are as efficient and effective as possible for our clients and people.
Dawn has been making a positive impact long before joining Zeus. She started her career at a well-known housing association, working her way up from a finance assistant to a management accountant.
From there, she set up her own successful accounting practice, where she honed her skills as a business leader and unleashed her passion for helping social enterprises.
“I got to work with a variety of clients,” she continued. “I helped sole traders and medium enterprises. I also supported a lot of social enterprises and charities, which I loved.”
She is undoubtedly a leader with a humanitarian mission. Her approach – both in her work and personal life – is centred on building equal opportunities and championing diversity and inclusion.
“I’m a Trustee of the charity, Mandela8,” she shared. “Helping others to have equal opportunities to succeed and improving accessibility is very important to me.”
In her role at Zeus, Dawn continues to champion inclusion and nurture a culture that is built on diverse perspectives.
“I truly enjoy working here. Zeus is somewhere where anyone and everyone can be themselves. It’s a positive place to be — and it’s wonderful to know you can make a difference.” She concluded.
